Super Bowl 57 Review: Player Props and Random Props

That was a sick game. One for the history books. We had a profitable night overall on plays, but not as much as I would have liked. The game script was correct and we went over 56%, but we just fell short on a few of the props. I was correct that it would be a close game and decided by a field goal, just picked the wrong team to win it. We went 2-0 on Rhianna’s songs and in the correct order, but her guest appearance wasn’t Jay-Z, it was her pregnancy.

The Eagles had to throw, which they did, and Jalen ran as much as expected. The Chiefs ran the ball and attacked the short to the middle part of the coverage he faced. Credit to Patrick Mahomes for making the adjustment. That is not his favored style of play. He was struggling to make this adjustment last year.

I’m constantly yelling through my bull horn, “coaching matters”. I should have easily gone with the Chiefs. These two teams were overall evenly matched up, except the Chiefs have nowhere near the pass catching group, the Eagles do. Andy was the X-factor going into the game, until that O-line and defense, most notably in the second half, showed up for the Chiefs.

Mahomes didn’t throw to his outside receivers and avoided the Eagles CB’s. Most of the throws were in the middle of the field and rushing it for over 150 yds between him Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon. MVS had only one target and zero catches. He spread the ball around, so much so guys like Justin Watson hit their props, a player I specifically mentioned as being a possible producer. The Chief’s players I wrote down missed their props by one catch.

Jalen Hurts played a pristine game minus the one fumble that led to a defensive touchdown, he was effortlessly throwing up the ball without much aim and his pass catchers were snatching it up out of the air. Jalen went for 306/1 pass Td and 3 rushing Td’s. Even though Jalen had nearly 70 rush yds, he had to get it done through the air. All his top pass catchers went over 50 yds, A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith and Dallas Goedart.

  • Jalen Hurts (PHI-QB) OVER 1.5 pass Td’s - Miss (1 pass Td) - He had 4 total touchdowns. 3 of those went for rushing Td’s. Devonta Smith just missed getting into the endzone. He had to come back for the ball on that deep bomb from Jalen.

  • Devonta Smith (WR-K) OVER 60.5 rec yds - HIt (100 yds)

  • Jake Elliott (PHI-K) OVER 1.5 FGM - Hit (2)

  • Kadarius Toney (KC-WR) OVER - 2.5 receptions - Miss (2)

  • Jerick McKinnon (KC-RB) - OVER 19.5 rec yds - Miss (15yds)

  • Jerick Mckinnon (KC-RB) - OVER 2.5 receptions - HIt

  • Will there be an guest appearance with Rhianna during the halftime show? - OVER - Miss (Technically there was a surprise appearance, but doesn’t count in this case.)

There will definitely be someone joining Rhianna for the halftime show. There could be more than one but the one person I’m banking on is Jay-Z. There have been rumors of Drake showing up, but I’m rolling with Jay-Z. He was Rhianna’s mentor at the early start of her career and a rapping icon.

  • Rhianna’s first song performed - “Bitch Better Have My Money” - Hit

  • Rhianna’s final song performed - “Diamonds” - Hit Rhianna will come in remind those who forgot and those who may not know her by starting out her set with “What’s My Name” followed by, “Bitch Better Have My Money”. - Hit

Total : 5-4 (56%)
